A & B Termite and Pest Control, Inc. was founded by Wayne Ward in Kingsland, Texas in 1979. Prior to start of business, Mr. Ward worked for the Structural Pest Control Board Agency which regulated the pest control industry.  We have continued as a family owned, locally run business, based on honesty and quality of services, and we specialize in structural termite and pest control both for residential and commercial accounts. We're not a jack-of-all-trades pest control company.  We design a personal plan for each home we service, or business you own, with your own particular wants and needs in mind – whether that be a one-time only visit, or monthly, quarterly, tri-annual or semi-annual service. Termite Control

Termites eat wood, and can consequently cause great structural damage to your home if left unchecked. A typical homeowner's insurance policy does not cover destruction caused by termites, even though they cause over 1 billion dollars in damage to homes throughout the United States each year. Our inspection and treatment program can help you understand the threat of termites, and take the necessary steps to protect your home. 

Termite Inspection 

You can’t assume your home is termite-free just because you’ve never seen them – they only swarm once or twice a year, and you might miss it!  We thoroughly inspect your home or business, looking for the tell-tale signs of termite infestation.  Some of the things we look for are: 

• Mud tubes built for traveling above ground 
• Damaged or hollow-sounding wood 
• Pinholes in drywall or wallpaper 
• Small piles of sawdust 
• Piles of small wings 
• Other specific termite indicators

Termite Treatments 

To control these unwanted pests, we provide an effective treatment plan, which may include: 

• Exterior Protection - a continuous chemical barrier is created around the exterior of your home or building to keep termites from entering 
• Direct Contact - as possible, we apply chemicals directly to the pests 

Rodents 

The presence of mice and rats is usually detected by the damage they cause to food and structures, by their droppings, and by their nests. Treatment involves eliminating all entry points and population reduction by the application of rodenticides and traps. 

Biting and Stinging Pests 

Bees, wasps and scorpions are dangerous because of their painful and potentially harmful stings.  Wasp nests and bee hives can be removed by professionals with protective gear. Insecticides are also used. Scorpion problems are usually treated chemically.
